The owner's manual calls for oil changes at 7,500 miles. Unless you
are driving in extreme conditions, the only reason to change it every
3,000 is to keep the oil companies happy. An oil change at my dealer
runs $50 with a coupon they send out every six months. Normal charge
is $75.
