Cuz didn't go to VA - and could have - but, instead went to Mayo down
in Rochester, MN. If you haven't done that, then please do make
yourself an appointment at a Mayo clinic, Bill. You won't be sorry.
I got to spend my Thanksgiving in the hospital after getting
a blood test and finding that my platelets were at 1% of
what they normally are. I was in so much danger of a fatal
bleeding event that the lab sent me directly to the emergency
room where I was admitted. The numbers are coming back
up and I am back home, but I won't be able to go back to
work until the numbers get back up to what the doctors
consider safe.
Kind of scary to go in for a routine blood test and find
this out. I was tested in late October and the platelet
numbers were 300K and Wednesday morning they
were 3K.
cell count? Did they give you any numbers for those? Just curious - as I
don't know a thing about hematology - just understand it..<g>. And I'm
amazed you're home.
Be *Very* careful, Mark - no making salads - ok??. Keep us posted on how
you're getting on.
