Look at the connection on your frickin' appliance. That's the kind of
hose you'll need and whatever hose fits will need an end cap that fits
the hose. Comprende?

Maybe you can look at a fitting and determine the correct mating size?

Why not; it's not something that takes long to learn.

You might also be able to look at a large liquid tank and determine how much it will hold in gallons? I can't.

Me neither. Close though.

I also can't tell you what kind
of tree is in my front yard

I don't know either but I DO make it my business to learn what kind of tree I do have and I've lived in a lot of different climates and locations. Buy a tree book. I like to know what kind of bird is chirping outside my window too so I have bird books for the U.S. and Europe.

or what type of beauty bark was used on my
front garden even thought there are others that could tell me at a glance. To be specific, I can look at a resister and tell you the value is.

I'm rusty at that but I learned it in 1952. BBROYGBVGW I used to order them by the thousands when I managed an electronics dept.

I can even look at an electronic part on a circuit board and tell
you what package type it is and even the lead spacing. I can even tell you what the intended use of a circuit is just by looking at the schematic, in most cases.

My experience is somewhat dated. B-26, B-29, B-50 gun systems and 1970s era electronic stuff.

My point is, propane fittings or any pipe fitting is not something I am familiar with even in a general sense.

Yahbut you can learn by looking at it and doing it. I kept my cars running for years, even while overseas by reading a book and fixing what broke. I wasn't trained as an auto mechanic though.

I could ask a clerk at Home Depo
but, likely, half of them would guide me to an incorrect answer.

Then disconnect the regulator and take it along. The "T" will fit the regulator and the tank fitting it was connected to.

I was and am looking for a voice of experience who could direct me specifically to the parts needed that includes the specific description if not the actual part numbers.

I always throw away the packaging and the directions before I start a project.

I am not looking for someone to tell me
to buy an unspecific widget to connect to another unspecific widget in order to achieve the end result that I'm looking for.. It's akin to answering that a heating element is needed for device xxx when the question asked was which heating element is needed for device xxx.

Probably 99% of propane regulators on motorhomes are identical. IOW, one size fits all. You are talking about a 20 minute job.

Comprende?

College graduate, huh? You should have spent that time learning something useful. :)
