bastards:
Today in the commissary, Cheerios were available in a small box and a larger box - as they usually are. Reading the small print on the price tags revealed that the large box was .12 cents per ounce, and the small box was .24 cents. Twice as much seems a bit excessive, but that's not the real bitch - two weeks ago, it was the other way around. And the price labels are on the bottom shelf, about 3" off the floor - and I'm an old geezer with questionable knees. At least the floor was reasonably clean, and I hadn't yet sneezed on my specs. bastards.

But, in your case this would probably work better:

I don't think you've grasped the true nature of the problem - unless those things have optics in them.

You're right. I can generally read the prices on the bottom shelf without getting on the floor. If it matters to me I pick up the package to read the amount of product and figure the cost per unit in my head instead of making the trip all the way down there. Maybe if you put a little video camera on the end of your pointy stick and a small television on the handle? Then if you decide you want it you can just spear the package.
