I ran a test just using the phone's web browser and the speeded were better. 700 down and 125 up. That makes me wonder if the BT connection is slowing things down even though it's not the bandwidth that makes the bottle neck. It could very well be the DUN connection causing the slowdown.

That is one of the nice things about Verizon. No DUN is necessary. Verizon is its own ISP. Gets you right into the web.

The DUN is for dialing the phone. It has nothing to do with being an ISP. Your Verizon Air Card (or whatever they call the thing) may not need to dial anything. I am using my phone as a modem and therefore have to dial up a network as you would with any modem. I can do that with any of the major cell carriers. Verizon included.

Nate

I never had an air card. I had phones. The software set them up to dial #777 and they connected directly to the Internet. If I wanted to connect via a regular telephone number, like to AOL, without using Verizon's ISP (only in non-native areas that didn't carry data) then the phone became a dial-up modem and dialed a regular telephone number. THAT connection was slower than snails. That's what I thought you meant by DUN.
