When you have those safety measures in place, call and I'll have more
that need implementing. We don't want people risking their lives
unnecessarily.

Taking my point to an exteme just to knock it down (Straw Man fallacy)
is not helpful.
Moderation in all things.

When you give the government the authority to decide what you must do to
protect yourself (seatbelts for example) you have conceded to them the
authority to decide all things that relate to your personal well being.
