Re: How to reduce AC noise from rooftop unit?

Any ideas that are reasonably simple? We run ours a lot in this
weather, and I hate the noise.

Depends what you have, and what is making the noise? Airflow, or vibration?
How old is the unit? If vibration causes the noise, have you considered new
vibration/shock mounts? Airflow? Is the filter clean? Anything loose in
there (I've seen many units where the temp sensor flops around and makes
noise)? You have anything hanging on the air outlet (I actully ran across
someone who's wife had hung wind chimes on the outlet, so she'd know when it
was on.... He thought it was too noisy :)
