Something is not right here. Wattage is volts x amps some am am not
sure how you are getting a wattage reading. To draw 16 amps and 1300

would be a 11.8 amp draw for 1300 watts.
Sir, you "don't know what you don't know".
To wit -- the difference between AC and DC circuits.
You have an unfortunate tendancy to "open your mouth and remove all doubt".
No truer words were ever spoken. I'm beginning to feel sorry for the SnoJob. I
mean, even a blind hog finds an occasional acorn of truth.
BTW, the term "eddy current" was used incorrectly. Eddy current is the current that
flows from one area to another in a conductive material in the presence of a varying
magnetic field. It is what heats the iron in a motor or generator, what flows in the
workpiece inside an induction heater and what heats the skillet on top of an
induction range. The correct term in that context is "Wattless current".
Rather than re-invent the wheel with a long epistle, I'll simply site a nice Intro to
Electricity site:
http://www.ibiblio.org/obp/electricCircuits/AC/AC_11.html
Just read along until you don't understand the math anymore and you'll have a good
handle.
