We're here until Sunday AM, and then we go to Cecil's place for a
couple of days, and then down to Davis Cabinets to have the LCD TV
installed. We plan on going back to Cecil's for a second stay after
we get the TV in, just to brag a bit about the new changes.

Please give our regards to Cecil and his bride.

Will do. It's been over 2 1/2 years since we've seen them, and we're
looking forward to the visit.

We'll be leaving the PNW on the 15th of July, heading for
Yellowstone. We're making a stop South of Twin Falls, and
Nat-Soo-Pah Hot Springs for 3 or 4 days, then on to our
Yellowstone adventure. Fun, fun, fun.

Lucky dogs (and dogettes!).

Hey, they've got a special deal going on right now. If I refer
someone who gets hired, I get a bonus. Want me to put your name in?
:-)
Roberto! I bit the bullet and ordered a 7000 upgrade this morning.
I've waited 3 days for them to fix SatMex5; who knows how long it will
be before it works? Maybe North Korea used it for target practice?
Maybe it just fell out of the sky? Maybe radioactive particles
bombarded it? Maybe the shuttle threw a rock chip?

Anyhoo, I may soon be seeking technical assistance..........

It's really pretty easy. Go to:
http://www.bobhatch.com/dustyfoot/setupAndPointing/index.htm

Start at DSSatToolOne and move through the process. You know how to point
the dish, no problem, but with the 7000 you will have to pass cross pol, one
way or the other.

All the software for the 6000/7000/7000s are in the modem, and are accessed
via a web browser.

If you don't have an OPI, go to the datastormusers group and download PCOPI.
It's a really neat program, and lots of folks are now using it in place of
the OPI. Also get the DSSatTool. Those programs will make aiming the dish a
whole lot easier.

Might want to see what Don says, but IMO you will be better off removing all
the hughes/DPC software from your computer before you install the 7000 for
the first time. You might want to ping Don and ask him about that.

Let me know when it comes. BTW, you will be on a different transponder.
