I'm a believer and will stay one until something drastic happens to
change my attitude.

I appreciate your input, though. I'm always willing to listen to what
anybody says, as long as it's not political <g>....

Every time Norton "fixed" something for me it messed up something else.
Course I haven't gone near it since I had Windows 98. That POS took over
my computer.

I've had McAfee in this one and the one before it and it's fine. Zone
Alarm for the firewall was a PITA with all the constant popping up with
the freeware version.

I have become more savvy, however, and don't use any Security system to
fix anything. I'll run Windows "clean up" and watch the cookies which
Firefox keeps to a minimum. I also defrag periodically.

If the computer is running well and I have no viruses or intrusions, I
would just as well leave everything alone then "fix" what isn't
obviously broken. JMTCW

The cookies that Windows Clean up finds are Internet Explorer cookies.

Then it doesn't find any. I don't use Internet Explorer. I watch the cookies in the folder and clean them up myself. Mostly I onlypermit per-session cookies so there aren't many in the folder.
