We still have several in the company with ME, although I hate them.
I went to the Vista and Office 2007 rollout from Microsoft. They gave
me a free copy of Office 2007, I installed it, and the user hates it.
I am reluctant to use Vista just yet because it is so new. The old
saying "We took the old bugs out, and put new ones in" every time they
come out with a new OS has some validity.
I'll wait till they come out with a few service packs for it. I hate
being a paying Beta tester.

MicroSloth has a very cyclical history with their Consumer OSs:

The NT platform is a totally different critter: less buggy but won't run a
lot of consumer software.

Personally, I'd hold off until after the second Service Pack.

I agree with your entire analysis. 2K pro (workstation) was ok, but
kinda stodgy. It took 4 Service paks to get 2K server right. I am well
satisfied with XP.
