Amazing! The military and intelligence services of many countries are
spending a fortune trying to find bin Laden. He hasn't been seen in
years.
Yet he communicates with a retired deputy fire chief in El Paso to let
him know his plans.
What's your secret connection, Max?
That was a bit mis-worded wasn't it.
Let me rephrase. I have no idea where Bin Ladin is hiding out but you can
bet your ass that he has his focus on Afghanistan where he has a much
better chance of furthering his campaign of attacking the infidels. He
isn't as dumb as the "WMDs in Iraq cabal" would like to believe.
It seems that the conventional wisdom among the intelligence experts is
that Bin Ladin is safely (more or less) ensconced in the area near the
Afghanistan-Pakistan border. At least that's what some of the media
report. For all I know he could be dead. His second in command, Zawahiri,
will continue the struggle anyway.
Now that you've entered the discussion, it would be interesting to see
what you think of the idea that fighting the terrorists in Iraq will keep
them from attacking the US.
Max
Bin Ladin's professed goal is to kill or subjugate every non-Muslim American
in the world. Subjugation will be a fairly easy task since America keeps
demonstrating that it lacks the will to fight. All he needs to do is to
convince about 1 1/2% of Muslims that it is their religious duty to kill
Americans, and that Americans are an easy kill. He is succeeding well at
both.
As long as we fight in Iraq and demonstrate our staying power, we make it
harder for him to claim progress. Unfortunately, the Liberals/Democrats are
doling an excellent job of helping him prove that Americans will not fight
for their beliefs.
