No magic in the mfg process so no one brand has a big advantage over another. Warranty time is as good an indicator as brand for qlty IMO.
In this area Johnson controls has a factory and most batteries around here come from that plant regardless of brand on the battery. If one looks close on the label you just might see who actually made the battery. I see a lot of batteries around here and somewhere on the battery it says Johnson controls. Johnson control has a web site and the last time I looked they listed all the brands they make batteries for. You might be surprised.
Other may have differing opinions.
