A boatload of windy bull***. For over a hundred years the "experts"
"proved" that bison and cattle were different species because a fertile
hybrid couldn't be produced. This was the iron-clad rule they used as
"evidence".

Then along came the Beefalo and the experts were found to have been
relying on a false premise. Just because it hadn't happened yet didn't
mean it couldn't happen.
