All,Not to me. What's the "condo fee" for? Fancy landscaping? $20K/month
Thinking about building a hurricane proof "self storage" condo for
RV's, cars, boats south of Tampa - 100 units...
Solid 6" reinforced concrete walls, roof, floor. 20 feet wide x 60
feet long x 16 feet high. Steel rolling door. You pay $16,000, plus a
$199 per month condo fee - and you own it.
Does this make sense - would people buy them to protect/store stuff
which is priceless or hard to replace?
will pay for a lot of routine maintenance. In any case, $13/sqft seems
pretty high for an oversized garage.

I don't know. If he built them up here in MA near me I might be interested,
assuming that you can resell it at current market value when you don't need
it anymore. Right now I have two, 20' by 10' by 10' self storage bays
rented to store a couple of classic cars during the winter. When I first
rented them, they were $140.00 per month.
Within a year they have raised the monthly rental fee to $186.00 a month.
His bays are much bigger and I would need only one with plenty of space for
other "stuff". Assuming you can sell it and basically get your money back,
the "condo" fee looks attractive to me.
already bought and paid for. Surely the property taxes aren't anywhere
near that.
