Well, not usually. We're here in Canon City, and it's rained every day
we've been here. Thunder, lightning, sprinkles, and downright torrents.
Yesterday it rained so hard that the dry gully in the middle of the CG
turned into a rushing stream. The CG is built, running downhill from
US-50. Every site is "mostly" level, with a fair space between each site.
It was raining so hard that the water running downhill, under the MH,
swamped the mats outside the steps. Couldn't see them at all. One of the
hardest rains I've seen, but it only lasted for about an hour.

Part of my plans for this area was to buy a fishing license, and spend
some time tempting trout, but the water in the rivers and streams is
brown. Too dirty to even try. A few days ago I was commenting on how happy
I was to be in a dryer climate. Arrrrgggg.

Oh, we're in a pretty good storm right now. It rolled in from the South.
Lots of lightning, thunder and rain, rain, rain. Nearest lighting strike,
so far, was 2 seconds away. Close enough to get my attention. :-)

It hasn't stopped us, except for the fishing, and I'll get that in while
I'm in Gunnison and Montrose.

Bob, I see where Max mentioned it, but the CG you are going to at Gunnison
is right near a large lake and several streams in the area. I sat in with a
guy running a class and worked some on my fly tying while there. I don't
know if he is there this year, I may do it again. And yes we had some
thunder storms come through Gunnison when we were there a couple of years
ago also, but it was mostly dry as I recall.
