Here you are wrong, many troops, including my son whom just returned from
his second tour there do believe in the Policy and see good things coming
about because of it. Of coarse they don't have the time to watch all the
coverage our wonderful media is giving saying what a failure we are over
there until they get back and then it makes him and many of them sick to
see
that BS.

I did not mean to imply that all our troops disagree with policy. Some
do, some don't. Many don't understand why they aren't getting the
logistical support they should have but they do their job anyway and do
it well.

On the topic of questioning I believe in keeping the CIC honest and being
aware of what is going on, but we don't begin all this public display of
contempt for him and our policy everytime some nutcase using the media
lays
out more propoganda and people swallow it hook line and sinker.

I agree fully with you on this point and I believe most people here at
home support us being there but don't feel the conflict is being
executed in the best way...i.e. number of troops, supplies, etc.
Obviously negative news draws the most attention so our glorious media
types focus on those issues.

If you want to ensure a loss in any confrontation show your opponent that
you emotionally divided, unsure of your cause, or too chicken s*** to
stand
your ground when the time comes that it is necessary. That is the message
some of our more liberal friends are busy sending out to terrorists all
over
the world. Must be a good idea it worked so well for Spain, they rolled
over like a little whipped pup. God help them now.

Again I agree...I just don't feel or believe our troops are getting what
they need and this is based on feedback from a stepson in the Airforce,
a nephew in the Marines (second tour), a grandson in the Army and
another nephew in the Army. All are currently serving in Iraq.

Support Our Troops,
Question The Policy!

All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in single words:
freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.
Sir Winston Churchill

That wasn't exactly the message I got from your original post,
miscommunication. I do get frustrated with the mixed messages we send out
from this country to our enemies and the lack of support. I agree the
troops could be better supplied, that ends up being tied up in political
battles like those mentioned earlier some saying we shouldn't be there and
don't want to support, etc. On the other hand we have never been able to go
to war with all the equipment and technology we would really like at our
disposal, one of those sad facts of life, we have all had to take on a tough
job at one time or another without the tools we really wished we had.
Fortunately our Men and Women in uniform put forth the effort to do their
best with what is at hand. Improvise and overcome. Shame there isn't more
support though I agree.
