Take your rv, and more importantly, your wife, and go up a large
mountain. Actually, leave the RV at the bottom and take a car or
unhitched truck. Mount Washington in New Hampshire is a good one. Do it
when you're hot and your air conditioner is broken. Don't forget to
bring jeans and a jacket...or be ready to buy one at the gift shop at
the top.

Current temp at Mount Washington Observatory (~6,200 feet): 44.3°F,
wind 32mph, wind chill 34°F. Current temp in Gorham, NH (next to the
mountain): 62°F, wind 6mph.

I love driving up mountains. It's so cool as you enter and leave
clouds, and see them below you, and seeing different stages of
vegetation. On Maui's Haleakala, the endangered species called the Nene
is likely to be seen, as well as some really cool plants that look like
they've been spraypainted with a chrome color, but are naturally that
silver. I wish I could have brought my RV there! The trip was a wedding
gift, and I don't think my parents could afford the airfare for a 12000
pound rig... <G>
