We are looking at a River Canyon made by Travel Supreme. The dealer has
the model
we want on the lot but it doesn't have all the options we want. In case
we decide to order,
I had the salesman fax me the MSRP and the cost (retail) of all options
available. In addition,
I had him send me the "sticker" on the trailer they have on the lot. The
base price of the
possibly to be ordered trailer is $3,210 (7.5%) more than the trailer on
the lot. Is it normal for the
price to rise this much in the middle of a model year? Thanks.
Paul

The one on the lot is probably an '06 and the one they order is more than
likely an '07. We were in the market for a new 5er in April. Couldn't
find one with the interior my wife wanted and they had stopped making '06s
by mid April. In late May they started making '07s and ours has a 'build
date' of July 13. The '07 will cost us about $3k more than an '06, but
they are adding a bunch of goodies. Like a basement mounted 20" LCD TV so
I can watch important stuff while relaxing outside and a 120/12 volt chest
type basement refrigerator/freezer so I won't have to go back inside to
get a cool one while watching all that important stuff. <g> They are
also adding central vac, electric cord reel, water hose reel, propane
grill, disposal, and a several other goodies.

The down side to the whole think is that we are still home instead of on
our way to Glacier NP for the 3 week stay we had to cancel. Now we are
hoping to get the new 5er, get it loaded and head north so we don't miss
the August 1 start of our 2 month reservation just north of Yellowstone.

Both sheets say 2006. I talked to a guy at Travel Supreme a couple of weeks
ago.
He said that if we order by the end of next week, we could expect a delivery
date
of the 1st week in sept.
