Businesses and communities who think they like the idea of summer
hours need only adopt their personal choice of "summer hours". LEAVE
THE BLOODY CLOCKS ALONE!!
Just to play devil's advocate I have a couple gas/car wash locations which
we open at 6 am. Unilaterally we decide to open one hour earlier or 5 am.
I will probably be pretty lonely for the first hour since a very small part
of the going to work crowd would be on the road at that wee hour.
BTW, in our province, we have DST and it serves us well. On the flip side,
we enjoy the extra time under the goose down comforter during the cold
winter!
