First off who here carries a printer/scanner/copier in
their RV?
Has it been handy? Or just wasted space? What you use
it for?
Second any advice on what to get? Just get a
conventional all in one unit and use inverter? Battery
powered unit
Can it be done? What type to get...inkjet or laser?
Etc?
I don't have, nor would I want, an all in one unit.
I have an Epson Photo R300 as my printer. I like this particular printer
because it has a 6 cartridge setup, so I only replace the color that is out,
not the whole cartridge, and the photo prints are outstanding.
I have an Epson Perfection 4180 Photo scanner. I'm in the process of
converting lots of slides, negatives and pictures to digital, and it does it
all. Additionally, I'm just about done converting all my old tax forms and
lots of other documents to PDF. I have a plan to take all the manuals for
the RV, convert them to PDF and put them on a DVD, then store the folder.
I only use the scanner when I'm sitting for a while. The printer is in a
cabinets, hooked up to electric and a computer, shared over the network, and
usable when ever I'm on electric, shore power or generator.
