Well, got it and it doesn't pick up squat with the antenna provided,
without it, or the Cantenna. I even bought the buffalo one (then took it
back), it doesn't pick up squat either compared to my built in wifi card
on my Toshiba. Apparently my built in wifi card on the Toshiba is far more
sensitive than any of these. I'm sending back this new B card. It's
worthless.
Well, I'm gonna back peddle here a bit. The card came with an antenna. I
used it and use the Cantenna too with no results. BUT, I took off the 5 foot
extension from the Cantenna and, with focusing, it does pick up those same
nodes I was able to see on my built in card. Better yet, I am able, with
fine aiming on the cantenna, to connect to signals I cannot with my internal
laptop adaptor. So, in essence, the external antenna that came with the
card sucks. The extension cable that came with the Cantenna sucks.. But
this card does work better with the Cantenna if the extension cable is
removed.
