Bill: Yep it is belt driven but is a 2 cycle. one cylinder and 2
plugs/mag ignition. last produced was about 1956/57.

Are you talking about the Simplex service cycle. I think
some of them were belt driven, but thought they were 4 cycle.
I remember seeing them when I was a kid. Many of them around
J.C. Higgins ship yard close to the camp ground we stayed at
most winters.
