Bill, it depends on where the signal is coming from. Some wifi
antenna are of the roof, some are on poles, 1 in my area is
fastened
to the side of a bridge, so as I've said before, I'm with Hunter,
I'm not worried about where an unprotected wifi signal is coming
from. When I get to the campground Wednesday and turn on my
computer, I sure as heck am not going to check and see if the
signal
is coming from the top of the bath house (campground's free wifi)
or
some stupid camper parked next to me using a wireless card
delivering a stronger signal than the campground signal.

If you want to take advantage of a stupid - or perhaps just ignorant
- camper by slowing his connection, I certainly can't stop you.

I didn't say I WANTED to use the unprotected signal that grabbed my
connection, only that I wouldn't bother to check.

I just read my instructions for my wireless system & it plainly says I
am responsible for securing MY system. No where does it say I'm
responsible for securing SOMEONE ELSE'S system.
