I purchased a 23 inch widescreen LCD TV for our RV and am in the
process of mounting it. Fortunately, it's only a bit bigger overall
than the original TV and, while it won't fit in the same hole, it
should mount on a board covering the hole but still allow the
cabinet
doors on either side of it to open. My question is that the TV has a
4 hole bolt pattern on the back to be used for wall mounting but the
bolts look to be a shade smaller than 8/32. I'm wondering if 4 of
these small bolts are actually going to be strong enough to hold the
thing in place while it's bouncing down the road in the RV?
Just put an L the width of the screen on the bottom of the board you
are using to mount to. Let the bottom of the screen rest on this ledge
with the bolt holes slightly over size so there is no down force on
them. That way, all the bolts are doing is holding the screen to the
mounting board.
