On another thought: Saw a MOST unusual sight today at lunch, a BSO (Broward Sherriff Officer,) with a side arm that showed lots (LOTS!) of usage. So much, I just had to comment, as most of them, BSO, carry Glocks that need dusting. Turns out to be a Berretta from his service years, now that's unusual, a BSO the actually shoots his duty weapon! FYI and a small >grin<How does one manage that? "Lose" it and pay the charge?

When I left Korea I turned in my .45 but it turned out to have the wrong SN. So I offered to pay for my missing one but was told I couldn't clear the base until I found the missing pistola. Went through our entire squadron, checking .45s. No luck.. Moved down the road to the 8th squadron, no luck. Finally found it in possession of a pilot in the 90th squadron but the one I turned in wasn't his. My problem was solved. His had just started..... :) I figured they must have gotten switched during debriefings, when they were often dumped on a common table.
