I've not been sick in the past three years. I think Lon claimed some
similar feat. I can explain my lack of illness, and it has nothing to do
with the water bottles. I wash my hands about 30 times per day. Every
time I shake hands with someone I find my way to the restroom so I can
wash my hands. Every time I type on a keyboard other than my own, I
migrate to the restroom to wash my hands. I sanitize my own keyboard
each Friday before going home for the weekend.

I have a nasty habit of rubbing my eyes allot or leaning with my hand
propping my head up with my fingers on my lips. If I can keep the germs
off my hands I stand a good chance of keeping them from entering my body
through those orifices.

Unlike you, I just don't worry about germs. Not even a little. I wash my
hands if they FEEL dirty. I don't rinse my water bottle. I refill it.
Then, I drink from it, and refill it again, until it starts to look green
instead of clear. Then I throw it away and buy a new bottle of water.
I handle money, then eat chocolate candy, and lick the chocolate off my
hands. I have antibodies which kill germs. IMHO, I need to exercise them
or they'll get lazy. When I had a dog, I let the dog eat off my fork.

I just don't get sick, so I don't worry about getting sick. I also have
figured out that someday I'm gonna die, no matter how careful I am, and I
don't worry about that either.

I am starting to see the wisdom in this. As I said earlier...I used to
drink directly from the lake where I fished, swam and occasionally peed.
Never got sick in the summer time...only in the winter when the lake was
frozen solid and I could not drink from it.

And I too shared utensils with the dog...but never the cat...that's just
gross.
