Might as well. A lot of us, me included, just filter top posters as a
matter of course. It just makes trying to keep it in order too
confusing.

I've been known to filter people who continue to top post after they've
been asked nicely not to. I realize top posting is the convention in
some places, but here it's not.

It's MUCH easier to read a NG if everybody posts the same way, whatever
it is. Since the long-standing, established custom here is to SNIP
(hint, hint) and then bottom post, I do it that way. If it were
otherwise, I'd change my style to suit the majority.

It's just the polite thing to do. But not everybody on Usenet is polite
-- and some are deliberately obnoxious.
