Wireless stuff is a pain in an RV. They are often cold, often hot, and
often ignored. You end up carrying a box of batteries to keep things
working.
Consider adding a reading light in a more convenient location. All you need
is a 12 volt supply line. Almost every RV supplier has nice looking
sconces. Try www.campingworld.com If you do it right, your partner won't
be annoyed because you've put the light where it won't bother him.
Otherwise, you'll find what you need at www.smarthome.com
