Why are you citing a year old article? That's ancient history.

Perhaps. But Firefox allows those of us knowledgeable about these
things to disable all the usual vulnerabilities. Similar to Opera. I
keep everything except javascript turned off except when absolutely
necessary. If they haven't already implemented it in the latest
version, I've filed a feature request to enable dumping each screen's
or tab's cookies and cache when those are closed. If the core team
doesn't do it then I might develop the patch myself.

Beyond that, the core team has a laudable record of patching
vulnerabilities within days and sometimes hours of being discovered.
That and the auto update check built into Firefox makes it about as
secure as anything on the web can be.
