Well, I was trying to be sensitive about the matter, and did not want to
offend anyone's religion, by being Frank, about what I suspected was a
racial aspect of the conversion to Judaism. You're explanation confirms my
suspicions, about the "why," of discouraging conversions. Makes sense to me
to have these precautions in place.
