Re: OT 2000 Year Old Record Shattered

I would do what we are doing now, but with more troops, if possible.

Some Democrats (Kerry comes to mind) NOW says we have TOO MANY troops there and that is what is "fueling the insurgency". Five months ago he (and others) were calling for more troops.

Secondly, I would fire those in charge of press relations, and get
someone who could get my policy clearly out in front of the American
public, because the same old tune ain't gettin it.

You'd have to buy up all the newspapers then because they are heavily weighted with people who bleat the liberal propaganda of the day/week/month.

There are no guarantees in war, and I would be honest and up front
with the people and say so.

Review Bush's speeches when we invaded Iraq and after 9-11.

I would acknowledge the WMD fiasco head
on, take responsibility for it as CEO, and explain to the American
people what our options are now.

There WAS no WMD "fiasco". Bush went with the same Intelligence the CIA had been providing for many years, the same intel that Clinton and the Democrats touted when they bombed Baghdad in 1998.

Then I would tell them which one I
chose to go with.

You haven't been paying attention.

Nutshell version, booklength complete with epithets available on request.

I think you need to get caught up on facts and events first. LZ
