Tom's right Will. Basically what it does is give you 4 virtual ports that
can talk to the GPS. You decide what port you want to use with what
application. If it gives you ports 3-6, then you can assign port 3 to
DeLorme, port 4 to S&T, etc.... You can run all the programs and swap
between them. It should work with any NMEA compliant GPS.
Now, just know that if your running multiple software, tracking with a GPS,
doing logs, etc...you need to have the computer resources to handle it.
SA2006 has a new really slick auto zoom in to turn feature that gradually
zooms you in as you approach the turn, then back out as you leave. Because
this causes many screen refreshes as it zooms in (they are instant), it also
causes the GPS to stay very well centered in the screen thru turns, which
was a problem without this feature.
