I have both SA 2006 and S&T 2006. I like different features of each.

As far as what I like better about SA:
SA annunciates the streets name of the turns, S&T does not. This is an
important feature to me since there are propagation delays in any
GPS/Laptop system and if in areas with tight streets, it can become
unclear which street to turn on. Another issue with MS S&T that I find
annoying is that it annunciates the next turn .3 miles away from the
turn. That cannot be changed in S&T but is settable in SA. Problem is,
at freeway speeds, and after the propagation delays, you're nearly on
top of the turn by the time it annunciates it, giving near no time to
change lanes particularly if driving a big rig. SA has voice commands;
i.e, using a mic you can instruct it to show next turn, zoom in, zoom
out, show destination, center on GPS ect.. S&T does not have this
feature.

As far as what I like about S&T:
S&T is easy to operate, i.e, much more intuitive than SA. It's
navigation screen is simple; I particularly like the nav bar on the
bottom that indicates how far you have left until the next turn. It's
maps are more accurate than SAs. Finding nearby attractions is easier to
accomplish than it is with SA.

I think SA clearly has the edge as far as voice nav and command. S&T has
the edge on accuracy and ease of use.
