I've had both for almost two weeks. So I don't have a lot of
experience.
I use them in conjunction with a Magellan Sportrak Color GPS. So far,
the SA has a friendlier interface, and better voice commands
(announces turns by street name rather than "turn left 300 ft", as in
S&T.) than S&T. I chose to go with S&T for only one reason. Accuracy.
SA is about as accurate as Magellan, that is to say, it isn't. It has
me living across the street, and driving to work in the river. S&T so
far has been dead on, to within a few feet.
BTW, if the SA comes with a little yellow GPS receiver, throw it away.
It's junk, and will drive you nuts trying to get a fix, unless you
live on a farm in Kansas. Ask me how I know.
