Trailer tires

My 29 ft. '03 Colorado 5th wheel has 16 inch tires on it. The tires
have sunrot cracks all around the rim (tires made in China) Rather
than replacing tires on trailer, would it be O.K to take the tires
off of my 250 Ford diesel truck (also 16 inch tires) and put them on
my 5th wheel, and buy new tires for my truck. Or do I need special
trailer tires for the 5th wheel.
