The people who owned the KOA at Lake Corpus were originally from Minnysoda. We used to bring along frozen rhubarb for the owner's Mom who missed not having it. Apparently it won't grow in south Texas and we never saw it in stores down there. Recently I have seen it in stores in MN though.
The Rhubarb was picked fresh in her garden.
Thanks to her, I finally found out why anybody'd consider eating the stuff - one of my Dad's favorites but one no one else in the family could stomach - and look forward to visiting her (and her kitchen!) ASAP.
