That all depends on how early you leave and/or how fast traffic is moving. I
wouldn't drive into the area with a known storm coming but otherwise
wouldn't worry too much depending on what part of summer. Peak of hurricane
season is Aug-Sep so might be wary of starting my time there at that time of
year. In any event, I'd keep the fuel tank full, leave early and be very
happy that I had a place to eat, a bed to sleep in and a pot to p*ss in.
