I agree with all of the above, and that is why I continue to support
appointments of fixed length. I'm still at 12 years. Maybe 18 would do
better, with one replacement every 2 years. When you read "Men in Black",
you end up with a lot less faith in the rulings of the SCOTUS. I think the
same thing should be done in the lower courts. There should be no "life"
appointments. Period.
