You two are on such different wavelengths it's futile to argue. All Chris
sees is that the Koreans you mention were suffering. The real point is that
they were working and doing what was necessary to survive and eventually
live better. The small percent of people, 50,000, who stayed in NO did not.
They waited for somebody to take care of them just as they always had. Nor
were they the brightest lights in the city - the bright fled. So what are
they doing to save themselves now? Nothing! They are craping in the water
they have while waiting for 'somebody' to bring them the clean water they
feel entitled to and are mad that 'somebody' isn't doing it quicker.

We had a hurricane come thru when I was farming. It spawned tornados that
took out the electric for weeks and drained the ponds my cattle needed for
water. So I fired off my generator then hopped on the big tractor and fixed
the dams. My neighbors did likewise. Why did we have tractors and
generators? "Cuz country folk are smart. The dumb ones move to cities - been
doing it for generations ....
