Saw it on CNN and FOX News before the storm. They announced that they
would be picking up at all city bus stops which would cover all the
city. (I'm sure they got city bus stops in the poor neighborhoods).
They showed footage of cops and fireman going door to door in what
looked like the projects letting them know about the stops and the
superdome. They announced that city officials said anyone who couldn't
ride the bus to let the fireman or cops know and they would get them to
the superdome. They showed frootage off and on all day prior to the
storm on both channels. Those are the only two I usually watch. They
showed folks getting on the buses and going into the dome. I thought it
was pretty much common knowledge. When the mayor and governor were
doing the news conference and declared the mandatory evacuation they
stated the same thing. I imagine its on the net somewhere, but being
its 1:00 am here I'm not looking tonight. I'll see if I can find
something about it tommorrow if I get a chance. Until I do you'll just
have to take my good word <g>
