Well, that's certainly true. I'm not sure if its OK for the Atty General
to do the firing for political reasons.
It's certainly against the law for the Atty General to stand up in front of
Congress and lie about the process. If you think he should hide behind
Clintonesque manipulation of language (as well as behind State Secrets,
Executive Privilege, and Faulty Memory), go ahead. You and GW would be
about the only ones, though.
His testimony, by the way, has been pretty much directly controverted by
two of his underlings and the head of the FBI.
