It changes velocity. Velocity is a vector quanity that has both
speed and direction.

As is momentum -- mv, mass times velocity.

Momentum is conserved. Jupiter loses some and the spacecraft gains an
equal amount.

Speed is a scalar quanity.

Non sequitur.

The craft accelerates......which you may or may not have managed to
comprehend once BJ pointed it out.

Why don't you go back and sit at the children's table.
