Re: Penn's 2006

Hi Tom,

Top posting? Not sure I know what that is. Something I did wrong?
Hope not.

Hi Tom,

This is Mark Eddy from Ohio. I was fortunate enough to meet you, Mike,
Dave PA and some of the other ROFF members last week at the Penn's
Creek clave. Just wanted to thank everyone for their hospitality,
advice, and welcoming spirit. I enjoyed hanging out and hearing about
all the great fishing opportunities in the area. I look forward to
contributing to the ROFF postings and perhaps joining members again at
another clave. The Michigan one sounds great! Maybe I can escape the
rat race and head up there.

Thanks as well to Bill Claspy for introducing me to a great network of
folks! Bill was instrumental in getting me back into fly fishing after
a nearly 20 year hiatus.

Oh, by the way, I had my first experiences with the Green Drake hatch
on this last trip. Absolutely amazing! I've never seen anything like
it. What a feast for the brownies! As it turns out, however, I got my
best trout Friday evening on the catch and release section of Penn's
with a #12 March Brown. A beautiful 14" brown took it after I had
worked him on a couple other flies for about 30 minutes. Felt pretty
good to be landing fish like these that have seen it all.

Hope to see you on the waters!,

Mark

Glad you had a good time, sorry our schedules could not have overlapped
better. You have grasped the thing that brings some of us back to Penn's,
year-round. You are pitching bugs to some wary, and serious-fighting brown
trout on that place, in a very nice set of surroundings.
......now, about that top-posting......<g>
