Is that true? I could have heard wrong, but I understood that there was a lot of the NeXT operating system code. Not that that would be a bad thing. The NeXT was a great system that should have gotten a lot more attention.

OS X is based on BSD Unix. I didn't say it was a clean break from everything in the past -- only that it was a clean break from OS 9. Backward compatibility was not an issue.
