Commercial roofers have insulation with 1/2 OSB glued to one side.
The insulation is 3" thick. Comes in 8 to 20' lengths. Might look around to
see if you can find some.
You could easily reuse something made out of this. Using a small kid pool as
the barrier inside to collect the water.
One hole on one side to drain it too.
The chest style would work the best.
No weight may pose a problem, but you mentioned 30 to 40 people...

I camp at the flyin at Oshkosh every year. We generally have a group
of 30-40 people, and I'm the cook. I'm looking for designs for a large
icebox that we can take apart into flat panels to store in our storage
unit. I'm thinking of using 3/8" plywood for the panels, with 2" foam
insulation and vinyl sheets to cover the insulation. Proposed size
would be about 2' deep, 3' wide and 6' tall. With wire shelves and a
plastic tub holding a block of ice in the top, it should keep food
cool and dry. Ice supply is not a problem, I can get a large block
every morning delivered to the site. I'm really tired of fishing food
out of the ice water, and with the 8 large coolers that we use, you
always end up hunting through at least 6 of them to find what you
need. <grin>
Has anyone seen any plans for building something like this, or will I
just need to experiment?
Thanks in advance,
PeterT
