sports has those pumps for like 8bucks, and yes the hand pumping to
top it off it awesome.
I got the $5 Intex pump at REI. I didn't notice where in the store
the car camping air mattresses were. It was hidden away. Also - the
color was black. It does get the pressure considerably higher,
although I'd still want to use the battery powered pump most of the
way. The hose is extremely thin and has a tendency to pop out. If I
get any teflon tape, I think I might want to use it to get a tighter,
better seal of the hose against the pump body. It's definitely not as
noisy as the battery powered one. I might want to use the hand pump
if I arrive late and don't want to wake other campers.
