Could someone kindly tell me what "winner" and "loser" translate to?
Conqueror, _victor_; conquered, _victus._
There's a stock phrase, _Vae victis,_ "Woe to the conquered."
However, nouns and adjectives in Latin have grammatical gender,
and _baronia_ appears to be a feminine noun; so "winner/winning
barony" would be _victrix_ and "loser/losing barony" would be
_victa._

Marvelous! Thanks. We were joking about it possibly being "victum". At least I guessed the correct root. :)
