There is no room for argument that human produced atmospheric
pollution is and has been occurring since we entered into this
"advanced industrial age." My questions are, to what extent have we
compensated for the humongous release of carbon dioxide into the
atmosphere?
Before humans began this carbon pollution lifestyle, they started
using river water to irrigate and farm land that would otherwise have
laid in a desert or semi-desert state. But, with the use of irrigation
agriculture, millions or billions of acres of such land has been
converted into lush farm land and orchards.
To what extent has this irrigation farming green stuff compensated for
the carbon humans have released over the same time frame? I can't find
any information on this, but it does seem that this is a significant
part of the overall situation. Gordon

It could, Gordon, be a deeply buried joke, yet, again and again, we
find evidence of humanoid presence before its presumptive presence. I
can qoute you lots! Can they all be wrong!
few points of clarification.
Humans (homo sapiens sapiens) are not quite the same as those other
hominids (homo sapiens). There is no doubt that homo sapiens sapiens
are descendants of homo sapiens, but there was one major
mutation...the Fox P2 gene on chromosome 7...giving homo sapiens
sapiens the ability to control their speech organs more precisely, and
thus develop complex language capabilities.
The Bible passes this along to us as a "hint" in the passages about
Adam naming all the animals. For Adam to name the animals, he must
have had the ability to use and understand nouns. This was a MAJOR
advancement above the earlier hominids. They could communicate
vocally, only to the extent of using something in the form of
verbs...squeals, grunts, growls, etc.
But, when Adam, or Adam class homo sapiens sapiens experienced this
Fox P2 genetic mutation, there was not found a woman suitable for a
wife for him. Obviously this Fox P2 mutation was initially located on
the Y chromosome, and thus transferable only to the male descendants.
So, God caused Adam to go into a state of sleep, caused by some
retrovirus infection that then accomplished a horizontal transfer of
DNA from Adam's platelets in his flat bones (ribs) to either his gonad
cells or to the attending woman's ovum cells. In whichever case, the
Fox P2 gene was inserted on Chromosome 7, making it transferable to
the female offspring, also.
This happened about 20,000 years ago, just as the last ice age was
about to end. It was a very rough time for all hominids, and those
without this complex language capability simply could not compete.
They became extinct, leaving only the Adam and Eve class homo sapiens
sapiens to become the dominant specie on this planet.
