From an intellectual perspective, what are the general views
regarding the idea that Jesus of Nazareth was the promised
Messiah? Did He meet all the prophetic prerequisites?
Is unity with Jesus, who has, or is in unity with God the creator
the only means for salvation? Can anyone be "saved" by any other
means or process?
Will those who are saved pass from death (mortal death) unto life
(eternal spiritual life), and those who are not saved blank out
at the time of their mortal death until the final resurrection,
then stand judgement?
Is the primary purpose of our existence in this "mortal" phase to
provide means for learning enough about sin and rebellion to
quell that "curiosity" eternally? This same "curiosity" was what
lead to Lucifer's fall, was it not?

Peter. I've studied it before and still can not link it with the
actual teachings of Jesus and his disciples. I tend to think it
is more in line with the Muslim teachings than with the Christian
teachings. There was a conflict of interest, early on, between
the Arabic people and the Jews/Christians. The Apocalypse of
Peter seems to have been the thinking of the early Arabic people
on these matters.
I really don't understand the Muslim teachings on this, at all.
They regard Jesus as one of the major prophets, but they also say
that he was a liar and a deceiver. They claim that he wasn't
actually crucified, but had a look-alike crucified in his place
to deceive the masses into believing that it was Jesus who was
crucified then raised from the dead.
I suppose they needed to make Jesus seem worse as a liar and
deceiver than their prophet Mohammed obviously was, in order to
make Mohammed look comparatively good.
